We found out how important it is to recycle. Look at these facts!
-Did you know it takes 3,000 years for a glass bottle or jar to biodegrade?
-A plastic bottle NEVER biodegrades.
We also learned that polystyrene (styrofoam) is made with a gas that when burned, is poisonous to people and animals.
This gas also hurts the ozone layer around the earth.
Please recycle!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also read "The Great Kapok Tree".
This is a story about a man who wants to cut down trees in the rainforest.
The animals tell why they need trees in the rainforest while he's taking a nap.
